I’m starting to be enrolling in design propagandize subsequent fall, as well as am starting to demeanour during options for laptops. I’m not good with mechanism specs so we do not know only what we need, we only know it has to be flattering powerful.
Price is not an issue, so what have been a most appropriate laptops out there for you do architectural work? (this includes regulating cad, sketchup, 3d college of music max, etc.)

Look for an Mac option. Their a good option for graphic design or cad software.
Any computer with 2GB of RAM (on XP, 3GB for Vista), a good graphics chip, and a 100GB+ Hard Drive should be good to go. Just make sure it has a good battery life.
If you can find a Gateway P7811FX, I’d recommend that. nVidia 9800 video, 4GB of RAM, 2 drive bays, replaceable CPU. I wish I could find another one.
You need good graphics (nVidia 8800 or 9800), 4GB of RAM (preferably with a 64 bit version of Windows, so you can use it all) and a lot of storage. (The 7811 has a spare storage bay, so you can add another hard drive – Seagate makes a 500GB laptop drive now.) Price? Last I saw was around $1,250, which is pretty cheap for a server in a laptop case. (The P6860 is almost as good, and a few dollars cheaper – but again, if you can find one.)
Maybe gateway still has a few they’d be willing to sell.
Buying a laptop is a complicated decision which will probably affect you daily for the next few years.
In addition to price and specs, you want to consider things such as ease-of-use, speed, reliability, stylish-design and tech-support.
Different people would have different opinions.
Therefore, I would recommend you to check ProCompare.com (http://procompare.com/top/notebooks). They have a recommendation engine that ranks laptops and other tech products based on ratings and reviews from a community of trusted IT professionals. They also have a cool personalization slider that lets you personalize the results based on the criteria that are most important to YOU.
