This is the second one I’ve bought for two different laptops(Toshiba/Acer)and wouldn’t hesitate to buy again. It’s a great deal with all of the different adapters and adjustable voltage. Be sure to go to the manufacturers website and see if your laptop is listed for the supplied connections.

I bought the unit to power a Panasonic; it did so, but the connector is not proper for it and falls out easily. Further disappointment is that the final adapter plugs into a master adapter; another point of possible disconnect. The voltage switch could easily be shifted to the wrong setting; it would be better if it was recessed. [...]

This is not a truly universal kit. Purchased this for an Avertec laptop. However, this kit did not work for the laptop.

I ordered this when I needed an emergency replacement cord for my Dell Inspiron 640m (my original cord suddenly stopped working). It uses a Dell PA-12 family cord with a 7.5mm barrel connector. None of the connector tips that come with this universal kit are large enough, and the special Dell tip that comes with it is the old-style three-prong tip that Dell phased out some time ago. I’m assuming the product works fine but was unable to connect it to my laptop to find out.
