There is no difference (except that some notebooks have touch screens, which i would not recommend for a 10 year old)
No difference but i think a notebook is built for students
From what I’ve heard of, notebook is name for second generation of laptops.
If you are buying a notebook, you better make sure what you are going to use for. Net surfing? Applications? Gaming? Media?
No difference. They are just synonyms for each other.
Apple’s & HP’s branding for their laptops is as “Notebooks”. Probably because they are as compact as a long notebook. Other brands like Toshiba, Dell & IBM brand themselves as “Laptops”. There is no technical/hardware/software differenciation between the two.
I hope it helps
Happy shopping!
They’re the same thing, just different names.
No difference
If you examine it closely, you will see that notebook is 7 letters and laptop is 6 letters. That is the difference. Sorry; Perhaps you wanted to know the difference between NETbooks and laptops.
Netbooks (mini-laptops) are an easier to carry around computer with 10″ or smaller screens, use XP instead of Vista, generally no more than 1 GB of memory, have no internal CD/DVD drive and can weight less than 1/2 as much as the larger laptops.
They are the in thing right now for college students and their size might make them an excellent choice for a 10 year old.
