There really is no “best” laptop; it’s all relative to what your needs and wants are, as well as your budget. For instance, a gamer would want a significantly different laptop than a business executive.
Two different answers. Best brand doesn’t exist per Consumer Reports reliability comparison of 27,000 laptops that had to be returned for service from 2003 to 2008. Results were a 3% range from top to bottom returns of major brand laptops. CR judged that as insignificant. Sort of like sampling error.
Latest: The newest option for the Dell 1525 has JUST been released as the first sub-$1000 laptop with BluRay play capability. Even with the $200 record option the Dell is significantly lower priced than any BluRay competitor.laptop.
