There is a program called ghost which usually wipes it (almost clean)
But your best bet would be to reload the operating systems, if you have the disks needed.
Otherwise, just go through and delete all the files.

do you want to totally format the entire HDD??

go for Hiren CD, this boot CD will help you format the HDD outside OS, so you ll make it clean

Theirs many of ways to wipe a hard drive

    – Put in the rain

    – Electrocute it.

    – burn it

    – The easiest way to wipe a hard drive is to Delete everything manually

    – But the fastest way to wipe a Hard drive is to Download Darik’s Boot
    and Nuke aka: DBAN

I like the ISO version and then burn it onto a CD.

After that go into your computer BIOS and setup your CD optical drive to load first if it hasn’t been done already and insert CD, then reboot.

Read up on the link as to the great features as the Department of Defense uses this to wipe their computer hard drives.

But if you wipe your hard drive though this program you are going to delete your OS!!

I would recommend just deleting manually!

    Good Luck

You can just do a format but for more security you can get programs that overwrite all data several times so it can’t be recovered but for basic security funning FDISK and deleting the partition should do it. Be care full if you delete the partition the new user wont be able to boot untill the repartition and reformat the drive.
