    Toshiba has proved to be reliable for me, but I believe Dell has a reputation for being beginner-friendly.

    It does not matter that much on the brand.

    What matters most is it must suite your requirements(Specs. and cost)Good batt life is also a must.
    It goes without saying that it must come with the best hassel free after sales service support and minimum 3 years warrenty.Laptop parts are expensive.

    IBM/LENOVO are the best

    Dell are okay, for average users…

    Toshiba and HP sucks… Im just saying from own experience
