    I purchased a used Dell c600 for around $350 a few years back which has been very reliable. If you are looking to go brand new, I would recommend the Toshiba Satellite. There is also a site called Bob Johnson’s Laptop Repair, where you can get really cheap laptops that need a little work. http://www.lotsoflaptops.com Just beware as most need more than a little work. Another good source is another ebayer http://www.bruincomputer.com and is where I normally go first when a client needs something. Hope this helps
