    Hi! a $1000 budget is what you have to work with? I am assuming you are doing some light gaming while still wanting a notebook to replace your desktop probably? If you are then i would highly suggest looking into the lenovo thinkpads. Although they are indeed business machines, they can handle games such as AOE3 and SIMS 3 with ease. This will enable you to get work done (whether it be business, or college work) while still being able to play light games such as these.
