WHAT’S THE BEST TYPE OF LAPTOP COMPUTER TO BUY?

I’m a college tyro with multiform online classes. we need a quick mechanism with great mental recall that can read/write disks as well as fool around dvd’s as well as music. Aside from work, we additionally wish it to be great for entertainment, though we do not need it for mechanism games. What’s a most appropriate type/brand of laptop to buy, that won’t have me go broke?

Dell sells laptops at a fair price, or apple has the macbook for $1099, runs windows and mac.

Playing DVD’s, music and school work isnt very intensive a lower end laptop would work fine, dont spend more than $1000 usd if you dont need it for games. A generic dell or hp would work fine.

Its not the brand of laptop you buy like “Sony” or “Apple” but its whats inside it. When buying a laptop look for (Ram) and Hard Drive space. A good laptop for college would be a laptop with 1GB Ram and 80GB to 150GB. Hard Drive is the aount of memory for your computer and Ram is the amount of memory while your computer is running. For example (for the Ram) I have Aim Yahoo and “LimeWire” Each one of those uses memory while the computer is on, If i had a low amount of Ram my computer would be going slow. So Ram make laptops and desktops go quiker and Hard drive is memory for all those college assinments.
I hope this helps and Remeber its not about the Brand but whats inside..

    Good luck.

My sister who works in Africa had a Toshiba laptop for years. It held up very well and was a good value for the money. Currently, I have an Averatec and am highly satisfied with it.

If you want an unbiased opinion, I’d highly recommend checking out the Consumer Reports website. They have lots of different products rated for durability, price, features, etc. Go check them out. I don’t know the exact address, but if you Google for it, I’m sure you can easily find it.

you need to decide whether you want an ultraportable laptop which has a small screen, external dvd player and is less than 3.5 pounds or if you want something in the 5 pound range which is a little heavy but not terrible. the ultraportables are more expensive and are easier to break and have lower performance than the midsize models. Therefore i would suggest that you get a midsize.

there is a pretty good deal on a dell laptop with the latest super fast processor but you need to follow these instructions carefully to get the great deal

i wondered this question my self, the best is DELL by far

  13. shawncissell_gen says:

do not buy a Toshiba, Dell or sony They all have recalls on them for the batteries.

Dell is the biggest one that is haveing the problem.
Toshiba is a peace of ####. I have one and it will not stay running. I have had it for a year now. I have already had to send it off to get fixed. they fixed it the first time and now that the warranty is over it is messed up again.

So Shop and ask the computer people at the store.
