mac laptop always best for grafics
if you want a high graphics laptop, take a look at the Toshiba Qosmio G25. It might be a bit pricey, but it is great.
There is also a less well known company that makes laptops especially for cad and 3d software use. IMAGINE Go. More info at (http://www.cad2.com/workstations/laptop-workstations.html)
A cheaper high graphics laptop would be the Toshiba Satellite M35X-S311 1.5 GHz Pentium M Laptop. More info at (http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/toshiba-satellite-m35x-s311/4505-3121_7-31288755.html)

I would use something with a Intel Duo core processer, minimum of 2gig or ram, 4 or more preferably, Windows XP (vista sucks and is a rescourse hog) 512 video card. I am not sure they make CAD video cards for laptops because they are usually freaking huge so you might have to settle for a gamming video card. Hard drive I would go with nothing less than 7200 RPM if you can.
