WHY ARE SUB-NOTEBOOKS CHEAPER NOW?

Not as well prolonged ago a crony paid for a tiny 3lb laptop for around $1200. Nowadays notebooks with identical specs have been around $300. How just did they turn so cheap? we know a bit about a story at a back of this (eepc entered a marketplace presumably shabby by OLPC project), though how did a tech get cheaper by this magnitude?

everything is getting faster extremely rapidly. in just 6 months my laptop went down in price 300 bucks. my girlfriend got one because its still realy fast, but now instead of dual core they are moving to quad core as a standard. anythin wit single core is wicked cheap.

Acer flooded the market with their Aspire One…you can buy it almost anywhere and that brought the prices down. The new intel Atom processor that is designed for the sub-notebooks has also helped to bring down the price. Prices tend to fall as more are made…supply and demand.
