my code brand brand new Qosmio Vista Ultimate, laptop encounters opening complaint after installing NIS 2008. it freezes during full complement indicate or installing brand brand new programs (yahoo messenger, might cam driver, etc.). i need to mislay a battery in sequence to reboot my complement again.

Because Norton can be a very demanding and uses up a lot of the computer usage which causes it to freeze. I no longer use the program on any of the computer in the house hold. We use AVG now and don’t have any problems. AVG is free and it’s not a big resourse hog like Norton. Haven’t had any virus’s either.
If you want to switch to AVG just make sure to remove Norton from the website with the removal tool, as going into add/remove will not remove the program.
I always had problems using Norton. My uncle bought an HP Media Center m8100y with Norton Internet Security 2008, and I could not get it configured. Even with one of my older computers, I had a problem with an older version of Norton. We called Norton, and they had to go in the Registry. They never fixed the problem, even when I tried calling about the HP. When I heard about McAfee, I got rid of Norton right away, and I love McAfee. Norton puts so many files on your computer. With McAfee, I don’t have any problems at all. I would highly recommend that you get rid of Norton, and install McAfee AntiVirus. You can either order the CD or download it from their website.
UNINSTALL IT FAST. I MEAN VERY ****ING FAST
